About the SCI Record Book
The largest of its kind in the world, SCI's Record Book is considered the gold standard of encyclopedias of big-game animals. The unique program and all-inclusive scoring system has helped document the hunting heritage since 1977. All entries are submitted by hunters and verified by Master Measurers to ensure accuracy. SCI contributes 100 percent of the net proceeds from the Record Book and its World Hunting Awards - which recognizes hunters who have achieved exceptional levels of big-game success - to conservation and anti-poaching efforts.
What Would You Like To Do Today?
World Hunting Awards
Annually, the Record Book committee recognizes all hunters who have achieved exceptional levels of big game hunting over the past year in a special awards issue of SAFARI Magazine.
Major Awards recipients are recognized at the SCI Annual Convention, with select awards featured during the Night of the Hunter evening event.
SCI Methuselah Award
A Methuselah hunter recognizes the age and value of experience and prides themselves in choosing to pursue the oldest battle tested big game animals over those that are younger or prettier. Set your sights on an ancient warrior (with battle wounds to prove it) that has outsmarted and endured all the predators while leaving the next generation of breeders to carry on their conservation legacy. Pursue the highest award of hunting achievement with Pride by hunting those animals that we honor as the Methuselah! Methuselah hunters see the perfection in imperfections and take pride in knowing that they harvest animals that have already passed on their genes to the next generation.
