WGH Announces Winners of the 2025 WGH Hunting Award Challenge

Women Go Hunting (WGH) is happy to announce the winners of its 2025 Hunting Awards Challenge!

The challenge encourages women to document their hunting achievements and contributions to wildlife conservation by submitting a trophy photo entry to the SCI World Hunting Awards Program.

Ladies simply submitted a photo entry of any animal they had taken on any hunt. All species accepted by the SCI Record Book program could be entered but had to be new entries never previously submitted to Record Book. The animal could have been taken at any time, and participants could submit as many entries as they liked in as many categories as they liked. The more entries submitted, the more chances there were to win. Winners were selected from categories in the SCI World Hunting Awards Program.

Ten of the women who entered trophies during the WGH Hunting Awards Challenge this year were randomly drawn to receive a $100 gift card donated by SCI Convention exhibitor Prois Hunting CEO Kirstie Pike. The gift card allows the winners to shop for high quality hunting gear and apparel of their choice from Prois Hunting.

Winners were drawn from the following categories:

Continental Entries: continents listed in the World Hunting Award Program

All Entries Drawing: No entries were received for Asia, so a winner was drawn from all of the entries together. – Ashley Frederick for her black wildebeest from South Africa.

Turkeys of the World: Megan Ross Somers for her Gould’s Turkey from Mexico.

First-time Entries: Melissa Neppl for her red stag from New Zealand.

Youth: Sadie Lester for her Florida alligator.
