SCI-PAC Endorses Rep. Nick Begich for Reelection in Alaska’s At-Large District

Safari Club International’s Political Action Committee (SCI-PAC), the largest sportsmen-led PAC in America, proudly endorses Representative Nick Begich (R-AK-At Large) for reelection. Representative Begich, an SCI member, has been a consistent voice for hunters and for sound, science-based wildlife management since taking office.
As a member on the House Committee on Natural Resources, he has worked to protect access to public lands, defend the tools and traditions that make responsible hunting possible, and push back against federal overreach that threatens both wildlife management authority and the rural Alaskan way of life.
SCI members know that healthy wildlife populations and hunting opportunities depend on leaders in Washington who understand what’s at stake on the ground, not just in theory, and Representative Begich has shown that understanding.
“In these midterm elections, SCI-PAC is backing candidates who will fight shoulder to shoulder with us to further SCI’s mission to protect Americans’ freedom to hunt and to advance sustainable wildlife conservation,” said SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin. “This is a critical time for sportsmen and women. Anti-hunting activists and bureaucrats are hoping the midterms will empower those who would push to regulate our way of life out of existence, and SCI-PAC is putting our resources behind the candidates who will stand up to them when and where it matters.”
With this endorsement, SCI-PAC is proud to support Representative Begich as a strong voice for hunting and conservation in Alaska.
