Last Chance for Women to Enter the WGH Hunting Awards Challenge!
December 31, 2025, is the final deadline to enter the 2026 Women Go Hunting (WGH) Hunting Awards Challenge. Hurry to submit entries for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from Próis Hunting. All women members of SCI can enter.
The Challenge is tied to SCI’s World Hunting Awards Program, operated by the Record Book Department. Women can document and celebrate their hunting achievements through this program. For the World Hunting Awards, entries do not require measurements. Simply submit a Photo Entry form and a photograph.
Entries to the World Hunting Awards Program are posted on the Record Book website and count towards the programs’ various Continental, Milestone, Inner Circle, and Cumulative Awards. (If they meet Record Book minimums, they can be entered for ranking in the World Record Book too.) Women’s entries automatically go into the WGH Challenge.
The trophy may have been taken anytime, but only those not already entered in the program before June 2025 are eligible for the WGH Challenge. Any species accepted by the Record Book may be entered. So, if you took a buck deer in 2020 and have never submitted it to the awards program, now is the time to do it!
A total of 10 participants will be selected to receive a gift certificate from Próis Hunting. Categories are for trophies from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, the South Pacific, Turkeys of the World, First Time Entrants and Girls Under 15.
There are now more than 150 entries for the WGH Awards Challenge. Winners will be announced at the end of January and posted on the WGH section of the SCI website. They will also be recognized in the free WGH monthly newsletter. Each issue of the newsletter features women’s hunting stories, interviews with women in the hunting industry, spotlights on sponsors and donors serving women in the outdoor lifestyle, WGH events, stories on our WGH Challenge participants, and mentorship programs and women’s hunting opportunities.
