Vegan Activist Mantra: “˜The Needs Of One Outweigh The Needs Of The Many’
It may be a new twist on the famous quote uttered by Dr. Spock in The Wrath Of Khan (“The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”), but vegan activist “Mythical Mia” didn’t seem to care when she was characterized as being responsible for the deaths of close to 100 rabbits while liberating a grand total of 16, said a New York Post article.
The rabbit heist took place in Orsono, Spain. Mythical Mia conducted the “rescue” mission, taking a number of rabbits that were either pregnant or lactating.
“Five rabbits, which were pregnant and about to give birth, were killed during the chaotic retrieval and several others were left with broken spines, according to a report in the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. The report cited an assessment from a local veterinarian. The offspring of the “rescued” rabbits included approximately 90 bunnies, which had to be euthanized after being abandoned, said the report.
In the midst of the carnage, the seemingly clueless animal rights activist posted a video on her Instagram page, documenting the bloody aftermath of her actions. “This is what has just happened to us, look, I’m documenting the whole thing,” she said. “I’m covered in blood. This is what the farmers have done. They shot through our window and chased us down the motorway.”
“Today we entered a rabbit farm and rescued 16 lives,” Mia said, according to a separate New York Post report. “The farmer was extremely aggressive and attacked us, strangling activists and smashing their heads with metal poles. The police came and told us to leave peacefully, which we did. After we left the farmers chased us down the motorway at 200 km for an hour. We tried to lose them down a side road but they were on our tails. They blocked us into a dead end and surround the car with 5 other farmers’ cars. They were banging on the windows, shouting and threatening us. We called the police who arrived after an hour. They diffused the situation and escorted us to a ‘safe place.'”
