With Vegas in the books, I just want to say thank you to all the staff, volunteers, exhibitors and attendees who made SCI’s Convention an incredible success. All events, seminars, auctions, and evening banquets were times to remember as we celebrated 50 years of Defending the Freedom to Hunt. Don’t take my word for it, though – the numbers speak for themselves:
- More paid attendees than our last two conventions COMBINED
- Over $15 million raised for our mission of being First for Hunters
- Our highest auction item was the John Bolliger Rifle which went for $290,000 – a new record for a modern bolt-action rifle at auction for SCI
- 708 awesome exhibitors featuring hunts all over the world, specialty items, awesome gear, beautiful artwork, and much more!
- Countless memories, connections, and future hunts planned!
I also want to thank our featured speakers and entertainers: Tucker Carlson, Edward Byers, Donald Trump, Jr., J. Alain Smith, and Larry the Cable Guy. Congratulations to our award recipients, especially our 2020 and 2021 Federal Legislators of the Year Senator Roger Marshall and Representative Bruce Westerman and our Courage Under Fire Award recipient Governor Kristi Noem.
Vegas will be tough to beat, but we’re already looking ahead to next year’s celebration. Building on the success of this year, we cannot wait for 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Our 51st Anniversary will celebrate Women in Hunting as we continue to stand First for All Hunters.
