Tell Your Senator To Confirm Katharine MacGregor
On Tuesday, November 19th, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) advanced the nomination of Katharine MacGregor to be Deputy Secretary of the Department of Interior, where she now awaits a vote from the full Senate.
Ms. MacGregor has served in several positions at the Department since joining the Trump Administration in January 2017, including Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary – Land and Minerals Management.
“Kate is a tremendous leader who has helped shape and strengthen the Department as we continue to execute our initiatives as outlined by President Trump,” said Secretary Bernhardt. “I look forward to her prompt confirmation, so she can continue her service to the American people.”
Prior to joining the Department, MacGregor worked on Capitol Hill for 10 years, serving under two Chairmen of the House Natural Resources Committee.
She is a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
As someone who has experience working on sportsmen’s priorities with the House Natural Resources Committee and has been at the Department of Interior since day 1 of the Trump administration, there is no one better suited to represent the sportsmen and women of the United States in this position.
Contact Senate Majority Leader McConnell and tell him to bring Ms. MacGregor’s nomination to the floor for a vote!
