Share the Passion with SCI’s Women Go Hunting
Hunting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started hunting with my dad when I was a little girl, and it’s a passion I now share not only with him but also my husband and son. It’s safe to say, hunting and conservation runs deep in our family.
Recently, we had an unforgettable experience at our farm in Ohio. My son and I took bucks back-to-back, creating a high unlike anything that camp has ever seen. It was one of those moments you dream about but never quite believe will actually happen.
My father is SCI’s incoming President Jeff Meyerl, and he urged me to check out SCI’s Women Go Hunting program and its Ladies Mix & Mingle event. I looked at the website and all the stories from other women on how they got into hunting and what they love about it. I think it’s a great initiative and I can’t wait to connect further and learn more. I am looking forward to attending the event at SCI’s Convention this January in Nashville.
