SCIF Sables Elect New Leaders

By Vicki Swan, Sables President

I would like to take a moment and thank all Sables volunteers who work tirelessly on education and fundraising. The backbone of our Sables volunteer efforts is our officers and directors, who are elected every May and officially start their new positions July 1 each year.

As is the SCI tradition, our elections were on Friday, May 13, 2022, and I am proud to announce the results.

Even though the elections are over, volunteer recruitment for the 2022-23 fiscal year is underway, and Sables want you to be a part of the team. Volunteer support is crucial to the success of Sables and is important for the future preservation of conservation education and hunting. Hunters are among the most passionate conservationists and are the driving force behind funding many conservation efforts worldwide. Make a commitment to volunteer today and help continue the legacy of Sables! If you are a Sables member and you are interested in volunteering on a Sables committee, please contact Katie Robinson at [email protected] SCIFirstForHunters.org for more information.

Being elected President for a second term is such an honor. I thank all of my Sables Electors for this second and final term as their President. We have changes and challenges ahead of us, but the rewards will be great as well. Please consider volunteering on one of the committees above as we pass on the importance of our hunting heritage and educate the next generation about conservation.
