Safari Club International is proud to announce that Tia Senenfelder is joining as the Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role she will oversee all internal and external communications in media, print and digital. She will recommend policy and strategy on all marketing and communications issues and help to establish and implement the marketing and communications programs of SCI.
Tia brings nearly two decades of communications experience agency and brand-side including at two fortune 100 retailers. She has extensive experience developing and deploying marketing strategies, and maximizing business impact through brand campaign development. Her leadership in the establishment of marketing operations for scale and accuracy supported optimal business growth whilst building strong relationships with brands, partners and clients. She established and evolved a marketing department for client service and executional excellence in the rapidly growing and transforming retail media channel. And she was responsible for award-winning branding and campaign activations to launch new business initiatives.
Tia also championed and led multiple roles pursuing the advancement of military individuals in the corporate workforce and spearheaded initiatives to support the corporate recognition and success of military servicemen and women.
Tia is an avid outdoorswoman and hunter. “What I love most about hunting is the opportunity to deeply appreciate the experience of the land and animals of God’s country. For me that means fully immersing myself in the communities and ways of life of the people that contribute to hunting and wildlife conservation.” For Tia, hunting is a family affair. “SCI’s motto of ‘hunt with your kids, not for them’, is very much a part of my family life. My kids were in a deer blind when my son was four and my daughter two. My husband and I have been on exciting hunting trips and they are my favorite memories and most meaningful moments of personal growth and accomplishment.”
Tia says, “I am thrilled to be joining Safari Club International and be part of the team leading the efforts to defend the freedom to hunt and promote wildlife conservation worldwide. Communication with our membership is a critical component of our relationship with hunters and advocates, and marketing efforts play a vital role in the presence and growth of SCI. I am looking forward to being a part of this organization and supporting the membership, chapters and growth of SCI to ensure hunting remains a part of our culture for generations to come.”
“SCI is excited to welcome Tia on board,” said Ben Cassidy, EVP of International Government & Public Affairs. “As First for Hunters, promoting the future of hunting is central to SCI’s mission. The Director of Marketing and Communications position will do just that for all hunters. Tia’s extensive experience coupled with her passion for the outdoors set her apart in leading these efforts. On behalf of our members worldwide, welcome!”
Tia is also an equestrian and competes in Hunter/Jumper horseback riding. She serves on the board of one of Minnesota’s largest youth athletic organizations and is active in the mentorship of American Indigenous business students.
SCI is thrilled to welcome Tia to the team.
