SCI Iberian Chapters Hold 3rd Annual Meeting

SCI Chapters in the Iberian Peninsula organized their Third Annual Working Meeting in the town of Los Yebenes on the last weekend in September.

Situated in the province of Castilla-La Mancha in the midst of one of Spain’s prime hunting areas, Montes de Toledo, SCI representatives were welcomed by the Lord Mayor of Los Yebenes to the area known as the Spanish Capital of Hunting. Of the many activities that took place, perhaps the most rewarding was SCI’s selection as this year’s recipient of the

Megacero Award. Created by the Garoz family, a taxidermy dynasty located in Los Yebenes, and awarded by The Fundacion Garoz, 2013 marks the first time this award has been presented to an institution and SCI was proud to hold that honor. SCI CEO Phil DeLone travelled to Spain to take part in the ceremony unveiling the bronze plaque on the Hunting Walk of Fame.
