SCI Holds Successful Hunter Action Fund Luncheon

Now more than ever, our freedom to hunt is under attack. Whether it is draconian trophy import bans, limiting access to land and information, or assaults on the Pittman-Robertson Act, we must be ready to defend attacks from all angles. That is why it is so critical to elect hunting allies to Congress; individuals who understand the issues and understand hunting.

This is exactly why Safari Club International utilizes the Hunter Action Fund (HAF) – a superPAC – to elevate strong Congressional candidates. SCI is the only hunting advocacy group in the country with a superPAC.

To that end, SCI hosted the annual Hunter Action Fund Luncheon and Auction on Saturday during the Convention. The luncheon was attended by table sponsors and their guests as well as individual tickets buyers with a total of nearly 300 people gathered to hear from Fox News Contributor Katie Pavlich. Those in attendance also heard various updates from SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin and Executive Vice President of International Government & Public Affairs Ben Cassidy on the importance of the Hunter Action Fund and how it has influenced past elections.  The crowd also enjoyed remarks and an auction hosted by J. Alain Smith which raised nearly $300,000 to support pro-hunting candidates at the federal level.

SCI is grateful to all our members for their unwavering support of hunting freedom, and SCI extends a special thank you to those who donated to make the HAF auction possible Darius Anderson, Brigadier Ian Bell, Chad Belding, Ches McDowell, Richard Kennedy, Jacob Herman, Christy Plott, Trevor Santos, Radcliffe Menge, NRA, ZRO Delta, and Capitol 6 Advisors. SCI also would like to recognize the individual donors who went well-above and beyond in their support to HAF and SCI. These folks include: J. Alain Smith, Buck Woodruff, Dennis Anderson, Stan Atwood, Pam Atwood, Brian Welker, Renee Snider, and Jeff Kimbell.

All dollars raised go directly back to electing pro-hunting candidates for Congress.
