This is the largest donation since 2013 and included 309 whole and several partial deer.  “We really appreciate hunters donating the venison because it helps provide high protein low fat fresh meat for charities serving people food in central Missouri,” said Walter Coleman, Chapter President.
Central Missouri Chapter and the Conservation Federation of Missouri share the cost of processing the donated deer.  The CFM paid $75 per deer and the CMCSCI paid the balance.  Funds for the program are generated through the Chapter’s annual banquet and auction which will be held at the Stoney Creek Inn in Columbia on August 4. Horn’s Butcher Shop, Fulton – 3,540 pounds
Tune’s Butcher Shop, Centralia Р4,513 pounds
*The Russellville Locker processed only one deer very early in the season due to remodeling.
