Government Accountability
SCI fearlessly stands up to government entities that overreach their authority and harm the very conservation efforts they should support.
SCI works closely with U.S. Congress, state legislatures, federal agencies and state commissions responsible for the management of wildlife.
Stopping government overreach is critical to protecting hunters’ rights and advancing sustainable-use conservation. Through the Hunter Advocacy Action Center, SCI mobilizes more than 100,000 hunters to oppose government actions that reduce hunting access and diminish your right to hunt.
In addition to SCI’s direct lobbying efforts, SCI’s attorneys thwart attempts to weaponize rules and regulations against hunting through litigation. For decades, SCI has been one of the only organizations that stands up for hunters in courts across the United States and beyond.
