Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Come Out – PETA Commissions Face Masks To Combat Coronavirus
It appears People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals continues to work hard to insert its over-the-top media-seeking antics into the publics’ awareness.
This time, according to a PETA news release, PETA has ordered coronavirus-preventing face masks with a vegan message on them in an effort to curb the pandemic.
The animal rights group commissioned the face masks emblazoned with the pro-vegan message, “since the virus started at a live-animal meat market.”
The masks are black with the message “Meat Markets Breed Killer Diseases – Go Vegan/PETA.” The masks also exhibit a biohazard symbol.
Adhering to the modern political ethos, “never let a good crisis go to waste,” PETA is urging people to go vegan as a means of attacking the coronavirus crisis “because it’s the only way to cut off animal-borne pathogens at the source.”
The current crisis fits neatly into PETA’s worldview. Their motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat,” and we oppose speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview.
In typical PETA fashion, things haven’t been completely thought out. The masks were ordered from a supplier in……China. Delivery is currently being held up with no projected arrival date.
