International Chapter Spotlight
On Saturday, March 28, the South Western Ontario Chapter’s Skunks Misery Outdoor Heritage committee organized a youth hunt at Autumn Olive Game Preserve where 29 youth from the area hunted upland game. They also arranged for a falconry demonstration with several falcons, and MPP Jeff Yurek made a presentation to the children on the behalf of the Ontario government. Michelle Wight, who chairs the hunting heritage committee, organized the event. John Mark Jurak, president of the South Western Ontario Chapter, taught the kids hunter safety and firearms training prior to them going on the hunt. Rumanian Delegation In Bavaria
SCI’s International Affairs & Development Committee ( IADC ) was approached by representatives of the Rumanian Hunting Law Task Force, an advisory body of the Rumanian Parliament, for help in their work to re-work the text of the hunting law. In coordination with the Bavarian Hunters Federation Legal Committee, the IADC organized a day full of information at the Headquarters of the Bavarian Hunters Federation, in Feldkirchen, nearby Munich.
Elections At Hungarian Chapter
The SCI Central Hungarian Chapter held its AGM with elections for new Board members. The following persons were elected, from left to right: Attila Gomori, Vice President; András Bosze, Treasurer; Pal Lakatós, Vice President; Adrienn Lipp, Vice President; Dr. István Halmágyi-Takács, President; Dr. Gabór Kakonyi, Vice President; Dr. Ferenc Janóska, Vice Presidnet and Miklás Pinter, Vice President. Regional Representative Norbert Ullmann congratulated them all on their election and thanked them for their dedication to SCI.
