Hunting Awards Challenge

WGH invites all SCI women members who hunt to document their hunting achievements and contributions to wildlife conservation by participating in the WGH Hunting Awards Challenge. The challenge involves entering hunting trophies into the SCI World Hunting Awards Program. Just submit a photo entry of any animal taken on a hunt. No measurements are required.

All species accepted by the SCI Record Book program may be entered. All entries must be new entries never previously submitted to Record Book. The animal may have been taken at any time.

Each entry is $35, and participants can submit as many entries as they like in as many categories as they like. The more entries submitted, the more chances to win. Must be an SCI member to participate.

Contest runs through December 31, 2024. Winners will be notified January 6, 2025 by email and posted online.

The 2025 Challenge

This year participating women can win a $100 Prois Hunting gift card, allowing them to shop for high quality hunting gear and apparel of their choice from Prois Hunting.

Categories for Winners

Ten winners will be drawn from the following categories.

  • Continental Entries: Winners will be selected randomly for entries from each of the six continents listed in the World Hunting Award Program – Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the South Pacific.
  • Birds or Turkeys of the World: Winners will also be drawn for entries qualifying for the Birds of the World or Turkeys of the World. Species include all six varieties of wild turkeys; North American quail, grouse, partridge, doves, ducks, and geese; and South American quail, doves, perdiz, ducks, and pigeons.
  • First-time Entries: One winner will be drawn from those ladies entering the SCI World Hunting Awards program for the first time.
  • Girls Under 15: Lastly, winners will be drawn for entries from girls 14 years old and under for any species recognized by Record Book.
