Start an SCI Chapter
An SCI chapter is formed by like-minded individuals interested in promoting the mission of SCI on a local level.
SCI Chapters are unlike any other hunting, shooting or species-specific group out there. Chapters are not “fundraising committees” for the national organization whereby funds are raised locally and then sent to headquarters for them to spend.
A chapter is a separate, legal, tax-exempt group that raises money under the name of Safari Club International and then directs the disbursement of funds as the Chapter chooses. The SCI Chapter network raises more than $5 million per year through local fundraising banquets and events. The money is spent on numerous chapter-directed projects focused on the fight to save hunting, education or conservation.
An SCI chapter is a lot of fun, as well! Chapters provide an opportunity to work together with other members and invite the entire community to events where members can socialize, enjoy food, and conversate about prominent issues. Hunts, guns, merchandise, trips and all sorts of outdoor-related products can be found at Chapter fundraisers. These banquets are legendary in their communities.
