Finding Liberation as a Hunter
My husband introduced me to hunting. We have been married for 24 wonderful years. He had always wanted me to be involved with hunting, which I am so grateful for. As a family, my husband, our son and I have shared several hunts with many unforgettable memories. I love the outdoors, and I love the experiences shared with my family.
My favorite story is from last year’s hunting in Alberta, Canada. It was the first time I harvested a deer by myself. In the past, I was either with my husband, my son or a guide. Hunting on my own was the most liberating experience of my life!
I believe SCI is the one organization that 100% works for the conservation of the animals. It is so refreshing to be involved with likeminded people.
I did not grow up as a hunter nor was I exposed to firearms until marrying my husband 24 years ago. I love being outside, and I am excited about all the adventures that will come in the future!
