Federal Committee Hearings

On Wednesday, June 21, the House Committee on Natural Resources held a mark-up on several bills , including H.R. 615, the Protecting Hunters and Anglers Act. This bill, introduced by Representative Wittman, would prohibit the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture from prohibiting the use of lead ammunition or tackle on certain Federal land or water under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture. H.R. was reported favorably out of the Committee and will advance to the House floor for a vote.

Also reported favorably was H.R. 2872. Introduced by Representative Graves, seeks to amend the Permanent Electronic Duck Stamp Act of 2013 to allow States to issue electronic stamps under the Act.
