Entitled Vegans Crash Brighton Restaurant, Give Speech About Benefits Of Veganism As Diners Enjoy Steak Dinners

In yet another instance of “my way or the highway” thinking, a gang from animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere crashed into the Touro Steakhouse in Brighton, a town in south east England.

The angry vegans “stormed a Brazilian restaurant and played recordings of cows being slaughtered as diners tucked into their steaks,” reported The Sun.

Trying to shame the diners into becoming vegetarians, the mob flashed signs reading, “it’s not food, it’s violence” and attempted to give a speech about the benefits of veganism.

cowAn activist filming the protest was heard saying, “this smells horrible, look at all the flesh,” while another said, “they’re letting us protest but they’re eating the flesh of animals in front of us.”

Duh – they’re in a steak house.

A spokeswoman for Direct Action Everywhere Brighton told The Sun, “In a time where we are experiencing mass environmental destruction, largely due to our unsustainable and unethical food choices, it is paramount that we put our egos and selfishness aside and accept that we are all connected, we are all animals.”

Not to be outdone by the clamor of the animal rights activists, patrons can be heard mocking the group with one diner mimicking a cow mooing.

Not surprisingly, the admonitions to give up meat fell on deaf ears and the diners continued enjoying their meals.
