“It is with deep sadness that we heard of the passing of Zimbabwe professional hunter Ian Gibson,” PHASA reported. “Gibbo was tragically killed by an elephant bull yesterday while guiding an elephant hunt in Chewore North, Zimbabwe. He was one of the finest professionals in Africa and will fondly be remembered as a great friend and safari companion.
“As PHASA management and members we extend our sincere condolences to his family. You are in our prayers.”
