Don’t Miss The Excitement Of SCI’s 2019 Convention

SCI’s Annual Hunters’ Convention is never short of events and activities that keep our members engaged from the moment they step into the convention center. For 2019, we are offering a variety of events at The Ultimate Sportsmen’s MarketTM to keep everyone entertained. From seminars and silent auctions to live day auctions and evening events members can attend, you won’t want to miss the 47th Annual Hunters’ Convention January 9 – 12 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Speaking of evening events, our full entertainment lineup is now in place and it’s one of our best-ever! On Wednesday, we’ll hear a keynote speech from Lt. Col. Oliver North and the classic hits of the Bellamy Brothers. Trace Adkins headlines the festivities on Friday and, we have confirmed that rock legends ZZ Top will provide the perfect ending to the 2019 convention!

convention floorWith the return to Reno, we think it’s time for a party. On Thursday evening after the Night of the Hunter awards banquet, we are having an after-party in the foyer of the Peppermill’s Tuscany Ballroom. No ticket is required – admission is free to all! It’s not a fundraiser or a ceremony, just a chance to celebrate our members. Come help us make the party a success and we’ll make it a new tradition of SCI.

Take time to attend the Sables Luncheon and Auction Friday for a rip-roaring good time. This festive event features great auctions, a lively atmosphere and entertainment by Rodeo Drive. All proceeds from the auction help fund various education projects.

Other events at the convention include our daily live auctions, evening dinners at the Peppermill Ballroom, Veteran’s Breakfast, Life Member Breakfast and our Protect Your Freedom to Hunt Lunch. For more information about these and other activities at convention visit www.showsci.org

The best time of the year is upon us with fall hunting, the holidays and SCI’s Annual Hunter’s Convention on the horizon. The show floor at Convention is a hunter’s paradise, but don’t forget to attend important events such as the Life Member Breakfast and Sables Luncheon and Auction.  If you find yourself caught up on the show floor and miss the breakfast or luncheon, you can always catch Craig Boddington or Jim Shockey at their informative seminars. Time is flying and we will soon be making our return to Reno to enjoy The Ultimate Sportsmen’s MarketTM.  I will see you next year at the 47th Annual Hunters’ Convention!–Scott Chapman
