Don’t Miss The 2019 Freedom To Hunt Luncheon

Don't miss out on SCI’s Protect Your Freedom to Hunt luncheon and auction. The luncheon will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, during SCI’s 47th Annual Hunters’ Convention in Reno, Nevada.

SCI Life Member Jack Carr, a New York Times bestselling author, outdoorsman and former U.S. Navy SEAL, is the keynote speaker at the luncheon.

Before writing his debut book, The Terminal List, Carr led special operations teams as a Team Leader, Platoon Commander, Troop Commander and Task Unit Commander during his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare.

Throughout his life, Carr has been an avid outdoorsman and devoted supporter of the 2nd Amendment, pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing throughout the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Argentina, Mexico and Africa.

He is a Benefactor Member of the NRA, the National Director of the NRA Carry Guard concealed carry training program and has served on three NRA committees: Hunting & Wildlife Conservation, Education & Training and Veterans & Military Affairs.

Carr is a proud member of The Camp Fire Club of America, a life member of the Dallas and Houston Safari Clubs, a Chairman’s Club Member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and serves on the board of directors of Valor for Life, a non-profit organization providing military veterans with no-cost surgical spine care.

He is also a partner and co-founder of Pineapple Brothers Lanai, a hunting operation on Lanai, Hawaii, focused on axis deer and mouflon sheep. The company is committed to the conservation of endemic species by incorporating best management practices and to boosting the local economy by contributing a portion of all harvests to farm-to-table markets.

Hunting is under an unprecedented attack from anti-hunting groups. All hunters need to come together, not only to fight back against these attacks, but also to promote and protect hunting in the U.S. and throughout the world.  Please join us at the luncheon to help ensure that our outdoor heritage is preserved for future generations.

With your support, we can fight anti-hunting ballot initiatives, support pro-hunting rules and regulations and make sure that the people who understand hunting are given the ability to make the laws that support and protect hunters and hunting.
