Calling All Lawyers”¦the wait is over! Registration for SCI’s Annual Wildlife Law Continuing Legal Course is Now Open
This year will be the (lucky) 13th time SCI joins with the State Bar of Nevada to host “Current Issues in Domestic and International Wildlife and Hunting Law,” a unique continuing legal education course for lawyers that focuses on laws, regulations, policies and judicial opinions related to hunting, wildlife importation, wildlife management and conservation.
This year’s course will include a presentation from the attorneys who won the huge victory for hunters in the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Sturgeon v. Frost. The course will also feature presentations from experts on the recently adopted Endangered Species Act regulations; the representation of hunters, professional guides and outfitters in criminal and civil matters; recent trends in trophy importation bans; and a wildlife-related caselaw update.
The fee for the four-hour course is $275.00. For those who register by February 4, 2020, the fee will cover the cost of the course and half-day, morning attendance at the SCI Annual Hunters’ Convention on February 7, 2020. Registration after February 4, 2020 will cover only the cost of the course.
If you are or know an attorney who would like to fulfill his or her CLE requirements by learning about the latest issues in hunting, conservation, and importation law, this is the place to get it all! Membership in SCI is not required for attendance.
Any questions about the course should be directed to Jeremy Clare at [email protected].
