NASC: National Assembly of State Caucuses (NASC): SCI State and Local Liaisons Chris Tymeson and Bee Frederick, as well as Chris LaCivita, SCI Digital Marketing Specialist, attended NASC, held this year in Dewey Beach, Delaware, during the week of December 5th. NASC is the only state legislative conference in the country focused on hunting, fishing, and natural resource issues and SCI continued as a title sponsor yet again . Tymeson and Frederick addressed over 200 attendees on the dinner Wednesday night to speak about SCI and provide examples from the past year where SCI was able to use tools in the SCI toolbox to help shape hunting policy. Legislators from at least 25 states as well as 12 state agencies were represented at the conference.
Wisconsin: SCI sent comments in support of Senate Bill 587 which would update the language for defining a muzzle-loading firearm used for hunting in the state. Read the letter here.
