Georgia: Last week, SCI’s Eastern States and Local Liaison Bee Frederick and SCI Director-at-Large Chris Albrecht attended a National Hunting and Fishing Day Proclamation signing ceremony hosted by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. Also in attendance were Georgia DNR senior leadership and representatives from various other sportsmen’s organizations. SCI thanks Governor Kemp, an ardent sportsman, for his continued support of hunting in the Peach State!
Michigan: Bipartisan legislation was introduced in both chambers of the legislature (Senate Bill 664 and House Bill 5334) that would create an elective program for Michigan school districts to host hunter and firearms safety programs within their schools.
