Argentina Extends Lockdown Through June

The government of Argentina has extended its COVID-19 related lockdown through June 28, 2020. Any foreign national who is not a resident of Argentina will not be permitted to enter the country, and there is still no estimated end date for the travel ban. Additionally, the United States continues to advise against travel to Argentina due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At press time for the June issue of Safari Times, in mid-May, we reported that the lockdown had been extended through at least late May. That has since been extended again and further extensions are possible. Hunters and anglers with plans to travel to Argentina in the next two or three months are urged to contact their operators to devise a backup plan should the border not open in time for a scheduled hunt or fishing trip. Flights to and from Argentina are exceedingly limited now as well.
