Alabama SCI Connects With Community

Sensory Safari trailer to the Anniston Museum of Natural History. Five of Alabama’s members manned the trailer and answered questions about the animals and the organization. The sensory safari trailer helps gain membership and spread the word of conservation and the positive effects of hunting.

The museum that invited us was founded by a Mr. John B. Lagarde. Anyone who has kept up with hunting conservation, The Weatherby Award, and big names who have hunted the world and lived the alabama-chapter-111715dream will know the name John B. Lagarde. The Alabama SCI Chapter carried their sensory safari trailer to the museum for the children to walk through and give them a chance to touch the animals they see in the museum. To be able to tell about SCI is always good and to be able to get children involved in the outdoors and hunting is as well a great cause. This was a small event but every seed planted can grow into a wonderful blossom. Most of the time, the Alabama Chapter is involved in the Birmingham area, and to be able to spread out to other smaller communities is a great asset. We have members all over the state and that gives all of the local members a chance to participate. If anyone has any questions about the sensory safari trailer and how it can help your chapter please feel free to contact us at the Alabama Chapter.
