Safari Club International Southwest Washington chapter has acquired 3 rare and coveted tags for fall deer and elk hunts that will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for the chapter.  “These tags are very limited and hard to come by”, said Todd Lambertson  President of the chapter “we anticipate a great deal of interest. “We are especially excited about the Oregon Access Tag, as this is the first time this particular Governor’s tag has been available to SCI.”  Tags at auction are:
1)   Oregon Access & Habitat Statewide Combination Elk & Deer Tag
This tag is the most exclusive and allows the hunter any species of Elk or Deer taken by any legal method, from any legal game unit statewide.  Hunt is from Sept. 1 РNov. 30 2014. This exclusive tag will go on the auction block at 8:00 pm on April 19.
2)   Washington State Govenor’s Blacktail Deer Tag
Allows hunting in any Game Management Unit statewide currently open to blacktail deer hunting, by any legal method. Hunt dates: Sept. 1 – Dec. 31 2014.
3)   Washington State Govenor’s Whitetail Deer Tag
Allows hunting in any GMU currently open to white-tailed deer hunting, by any legal method. Hunt dates: Sept. 1 – Dec. 31 2014
Proceeds from the auction will fund SCI SW Washington Chapter’s continuing conservation and education efforts.
The auction will take place on April 19, 2014 at the Vancouver, WA Hilton Convention Center.  Phone bids will be accepted.
