SCI London at Annual Game Fair

The Game Fair at Ragley Hall this year was a first for SCI London. This presence at this important event in the industry calendar was met with much enthusiasm and support.

Chapter president Steve Jones was on the Carter Jonas stage with Fieldsports TV presenter Charlie Jacoby and professional hunter Tim Pilbeam where they discussed Safari Club International and the future of hunting.

sci londonThe chapter’s drinks reception on the Saturday afternoon was a bustling hub of conversation and bubbles, accompanied by a very well-timed downpour. Conversation and debate on the future of hunting in Europe and the UK, and the work of SCI, was interesting and thought provoking. The suggestions and support from individuals and organizations within the industry provided the chapter with many plans for the future regarding how it can further support and promote ethical and sustainable hunting and offer value and benefits for members.

The chapter committee looks forward to working alongside many of the well-known names in the industry, growing its membership base and awareness of Safari Club International and the ethics of hunting in the UK.

Marc Newton, Managing Director of J. Rigby and Co extended great hospitality at the Game Fair and welcomed the London Chapter to share their stand space for the afternoon.  Liz Edgar and Kate Fensterstock of Tweed media organized and planning the event with the chapter.
