The Music City Chapter held its first annual fundraiser April 7 at the Richland Country Club near Nashville, Tennessee. Featured speaker Craig Boddington noted that he had spoken at SCI chapters this year that were celebrating milestones of nearly 40 years and 20 years but this was the first time he had spoken at a chapter’s first event.
Many attendees were brand new to SCI and appreciated the history of SCI that Boddington provided as well as look forward to how hunters will protect the way of life. The chapter presented Boddington with an SCIF Blue Bag to take on his next trip to Africa.
The chapter has already sponsored a veteran’s hunt and a youth waterfowl hunt. Proceeds from this first chapter event will help fund even more local projects. Chapter President Steve Jackson and the rest of the volunteer board of the Music City Chapter are seeing their hard work pay off. This chapter will be a great asset to SCI and the people of Tennessee.
